Monkey Finn is open to creators on any topic — entertainment, comedy, music, food, travel, sports, education, animals, nature, news and more — as long as the work is your own and it is safe for everyone. These guidelines apply to posts, videos, comments, profiles and messages, and they follow the same principles as the Facebook Community Standards and YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
✅ Post your own work — on any topic
- Pick the topic that fits best. Only post videos you filmed, photos you took and words you wrote. No reposts, compilations of other people’s clips, or copied articles.
- Use music, footage or images only if you have the right to.
- If you used AI to write or change content in a meaningful way, say so.
🐒 Respect animals
- No animal cruelty, abuse, or animals being made to suffer for the camera.
- No staged or fake “rescues”, and no putting animals in danger to film them.
- No teasing, chasing, trapping, or feeding wild animals to provoke a reaction. Keep a safe distance.
- Real distressing moments in nature (for example a predator hunting) must be shown with care and a warning, never for shock alone.
🚫 Not allowed
- Violence and graphic content — gore, or content that praises or threatens violence.
- Hate and harassment — attacks on people for who they are, bullying, threats, or sharing private information (doxxing).
- Nudity and sexual content.
- Child safety — anything that sexualises, endangers or exploits minors. We remove it and report it to the authorities.
- Dangerous acts — promoting self-harm, dangerous challenges, drugs or weapons.
- False or misleading content — fake news, edited footage passed off as real, or scams.
- Spam and engagement bait — clickbait titles or thumbnails that don’t match the content, “like/share to win” posts, repeated posts, or misleading links.
- Impersonation — pretending to be another person, creator or brand.
- Fake engagement — buying, trading or faking views, clicks, likes, follows or comments.
- Regulated goods and gambling — selling or promoting drugs, weapons, alcohol or tobacco to minors, gambling, betting or get-rich-quick schemes.
- Adult or shocking content made for clicks — even on allowed topics, keep it family-friendly so ads can run.
💬 Comments
Be kind and stay on topic. Creators can hide comments on their own posts.
How we enforce this
- Our team is alerted to every new post and removes anything that breaks these rules.
- Anyone can use the ⚑ Report button. Reports are private, and the person you report is not told who sent it.
- Breaking a rule can lead to removal of the content, a strike, loss of earnings for the affected views, or closure of the account. Two strikes pause monetization. Serious harm, such as child safety or animal cruelty, leads to immediate account closure.
- Think we made a mistake? Reply through the contact page within 30 days and a person will look again.
